Tinsel Tannenbaum Christmas Jumper
Christmas is coming guys! I know you makers will have started your Christmas projects back in august right…? Maybe… I always think about it and then it slides off the agenda and a half-finished bauble sits in my basket until the 23rd December when I have a little rush to get things done! One of the lovely things about the Tinsel Tannenbaum Christmas jumper is how quickly it all comes together – especially the ones for the little people! Made up of nothing more complicated that a UK Half Treble its not too mentally taxing to hook up whilst watching a Christmas movie!
I made my original in Hobbyscrafts “Leader of the Pac” and “All that glitters”, unfortunately the “All that glitters” seems to have been discontinued – boo hiss ☹. I hooked up my nieces’ jumpers with Paintbox Aran and King Cole Tinsel Chunky and these came up beautiful too so thankfully there are still options out there! The Tree is topped off with a star in gold 4ply and decorated with whatever takes your fancy – My youngest nephew was particularly taken with the tinsel and the bells I used as baubles – he spent a lot of time stroking his belly last year!
I am a massive believer that Christmas isn’t just for the kids. I love how much kinder people are to each other and how grown-ups feel free-d up to take themselves a little less seriously; so this jumper comes in adult and child sizes, ready for that matching family Christmas pic! I would really really love to see your pics so please please tag me on Instagram, upload your projects to Ravelry or just send them my way over email!
As usual you can find the pattern on Love Crochet, Ravelry and Esty. I’m sure you are all aware of this now but…, the link below is an affiliate link, which means I make a small commission if you purchase something through it. This is at no extra cost to you but really helps me to keep the website running and patterns coming. As a small business I really value your support.
Using this Love Crochet link means all the yarn in the necessary colours is there and ready to go when you purchase.
Love, Yarny Hugs and a very Merry Christmas,
