Rainbow Bobble Beanie Crochet Pattern
Updated: Jul 28, 2019
The Rainbow Bobble Beanie is one of my favourite makes to date. I love to design things for those I love so when a friend had a teeny tiny baby girl I wanted to give her something joyful and useful.
Originally the bobbles were going to be randomly spaced but with each revision I came to prefer the rainbow stairs leading to a bright and colourful pom. When you make the hat up in Aran yarn with DK cotton bobbles you get these gorgeous distinct bursts of colour. Equally you can make the beanie in all aran with for some huge bobble explosions of colour!
When I finished the beanie there was no way I could leave us grown-ups out, us adults can be colour lovers too! So the Rainbow bobble beanie comes in sizes 6 months to grown up – so there is something for everyone!
I often think I should have called this beanie the stash bust beanie as obviously you can make it in whatever colours you like (I’ve seen some gorgeous pastel ones) and each row takes less then 10g of yarn, so it’s perfect for using up that leftover cotton from your latest amigurumi project.
This pattern and the yarn I used for my beanie (with suggested quantities) are available from Love Crafts at the link below (The pattern is also available from my Ravelry and Etsy stores if you would prefer, links are on my patterns page).
